On August 1, 2014, Agilent’s test and measurement division was spun off into an independent company, Keysight Technologies.
In November 1999 Department of Test and Measurement Equipment of Hewlett Packard company was separated into an independent financial structure. The new company was titled Agilent Technologies. From April 2000, the HP test and measurement equipment is manufactured with the new logo.
Hewlett Packard started the business activity in 1939 and the first company product was a measurement device – audio oscillator. Since then the company has been the world leader in test and measurement equipment manufacturing. It was possible due to the abiding high quality of the product, its constant modernization according to the fast-growing market demands and severe requirements to the performance characteristics. For many devices, the error-free running time measures up to 100000 hours, i.e. taking into account eight-hour day and five-day week it will take 50 years.
